Terms of Service — Veloda Pass
Last updated: October 8, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Veloda Pass. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
The service
Veloda Pass is free with every feature for the first two months after you create your account. After that, keeping every feature needs a subscription: 60 EGP a month or 400 EGP a year. You pay by InstaPay or Vodafone Cash and tell us in the app; we check the transfer by hand and your subscription starts when it is confirmed, usually within a day. A subscription does not renew by itself and nothing is ever charged automatically.
Without a subscription, after the two months, your vault becomes read-only: you can still sign in, open it, copy your user names and passwords, use the passkeys and two-step codes already saved, and export everything. Adding, changing and deleting items, autofill, sync of new changes and naming emergency contacts stop until you subscribe. We never delete your vault because a subscription ended. If something went wrong with a payment, write to [email protected]. We may change the prices for future periods; a period already paid for is not affected.
Zero-knowledge encryption — please read this
Veloda Pass encrypts what you save on your own device, using a key derived from your master password. We never have your master password, your Recovery Key or your unencrypted data. This means:
- If you forget your master password, your Recovery Key (shown once at sign-up) is the only way back in.
- If you lose both, your saved items cannot be recovered by us or by anyone else. You can then only "start over": the account is deleted with everything in it, and you may create a new one with the same e-mail address.
- Keeping the master password, the Recovery Key and, if you use two-step sign-in, the backup codes safe is your responsibility.
Your account
You are responsible for all activity under your account and for the security of the devices you sign in on. Anyone who can read the mailbox of your account's address can delete the account through "start over"; they cannot read what is in it. You may delete your account and all its data at any time from within the app.
A new product
Veloda Pass is a new app made by a solo developer. It has not yet been through an independent security audit. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — the app can export an encrypted backup.
Acceptable use
Use Veloda Pass for your own lawful purposes. Do not try to interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without permission, use it to store other people's data without their consent, or use it in a way that breaks the law.
Availability
The app and the service are provided "as is" and "as available". We aim for them to work reliably but do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may update, change or discontinue features.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Veloda and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including loss of or loss of access to saved data, for instance through a forgotten master password and Recovery Key as described above.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
